10000 Fathers is a community of worship lovers and worship leaders who are committed to keeping "Scripture as the foundation of our practice, hospitality as the context of our curriculum, and discipleship as the focus of our families."
Aaron and Megan Keyes launched 10000 Fathers in 2008 when they invited their first class of young worship leaders to come live in their home. Years later, nearly two hundred worship leaders have come through their home, some living with the Keyes' for months at a time, others coming in periodically for immersive weeks of teaching & training, and even a few who've moved their families here to be a vital part of the local leadership team.
Nowadays, Aaron and Megan lead their incredible team of worship leaders who make up the 10000 Fathers leadership. "Our lead team is pioneering new and collaborative worship pastoring in a few local churches, raising up student-worship-leaders at local Christian High School, serving at numerous local ministries, traveling to teach, train, and lead worship in numerous global ministries, and producing live worship albums" for their students as well.
In 2015, 10000 Fathers was accredited by the ATS (Association of Theological Schools) for half of a Masters Degree in Worship from a new partnership with Northern Seminary.

Let’s face it...
The Worship Industry today is in a precarious place. Our contemporary worship culture is more about great concerts than the great commission. Many worship leaders today are more interested in gigs than growth, which leads them to be more committed to their fans than their families.
Sadly, I can speak from my own experience...
Worship culture today is more about being professional than prophetic.
Worship services are more about production than presence.
Worship leading is more about tours than tears.
If you disagree, just ask anyone: “What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘worship leader’ today?” 10 times out of 10, I’d bet you’ll hear more about a great show than a good shepherd.
Let’s also face the fact that while seminaries and universities are training leaders and pastors, there aren’t a lot of options for worship leaders. Thankfully, this is shifting, and many churches and universities are beginning to offer education for developing worship leaders. However, education is not discipleship, and Jesus did way more than teach a class and relay information. If we think teaching a certain set of information to the next generation will procure their success, then we overestimate either our capacity or our material, and we underestimate the model and methods of Jesus.
Developing worship leaders is good, but discipling them is critical. This is what we’re about, because this is what Jesus was about. And it’s what changed the world. In 1 Corinthians 4, Paul said, “Even if you had 10,000 teachers, you do not have many fathers…”
While we’re nowhere close to having 10,000 Teachers of worship, we’re even further from having 10,000 Fathers–and Mothers–of worship. But that is what the next generation needs. Because historically, when worship goes wrong, so much goes wrong. (Think of Cain & Able, or Saul & Samuel, for instance.)
When worship goes right, so much goes right!
That's why we created a non-profit ministry called “10,000 Fathers.” We are asking God to raise up an army of men and women who are gifted to lead worship, equipped to do it with theological soundness, convicted to grow in both their character and competency, and committed to doing it all for the goal of making disciples. We’re asking God to bring us the right men and women who want to be a part of this. And we’re fasting and praying, asking God to miraculously provide all that it’s going to take.
Our worship school begins with a week-long intensive. Classes range in size, but our last class was comprised of nine men and nine women. We spend a week together in an intensive, immersive experience where we focus on what we’ll be working through for the next six months via distance coaching. For those that show faithfulness and hunger over those six months of coaching, there’s Track 2. This is where our focus shifts from growing in our character to growing in our craft. This is the second intensive, which is also followed by six months of coaching. From here we invite leaders into our Track 3 Retreat. In Track 3, we finally (after a year of leading ourselves in personal development) learn how to lead others in powerful discipleship. Track 3 is also followed by six months of coaching, with the expectation that you’ll be fully equipped to begin discipling leaders in your own context in this time.
