Desert Rain

Desert Rain

"This song is dedicated to two pastor friends in Arizona who had multiple miscarriages this last year while the husband also dealt with an autoimmune disease. "Desert Rain" is about God springing up new life in dead places. The song expresses a deep inward desire for God's presence, even when life isn't going our way. Its about life being difficult, yet loving God anyway." (Chase Wagner)

VERSE 1
You find me waiting on desert rain
I’ve been dwelling in a valley
Seeking safety from silent grave
Jesus, only you can save me

PRE CHORUS 1
The young and the old will see your faithfulness
This heart, that you hold, will see it, too

CHORUS
Open the floodgates wide
I want to be washed in the river
Pulled by the rolling tide to you
Oh living water, rise
I want the depths of your presence
Jesus, I found my life in you

VERSE 2
Across the world you bring the lowly strength
Your name is hope unto the hopeless
Your love, it washes over me again
With grace that swallows up the ocean

PRE CHORUS 2
The young and the old have seen your faithfulness
This heart, that you hold, has seen it too

BRIDGE
Life spring, welling up eternal
We will never thirst again
