The Fatherless Are Found

The Fatherless Are Found

The Story Behind The Song

"This song was written and based on my wife's testimony. From an early age Shannon was struck with tragedy. Her biological parents were unfit to raise her and so from birth she was immediately placed into Foster Care. When she was around 3 years old she was adopted by a wonderful family, but tragically 2 years later Shannon's adopted father passed away. Psalm 68:5 says that God is a father to the fatherless. In John 14:18 Jesus says that He will not leave us as orphans, but He will come for us.There are so many who, like Shannon, grow up without an earthly father, but we find the faithfulness of our heavenly father is never-changing. All the statistics say that Shannon (and those like her) shouldn't have made it, but God, the father, speaks the truth that we are not forsaken. Beyond even our natural state of fatherlessness, spiritually we were all orphans. We were all without a home. But the good news is Jesus came to seek and save what was lost. He welcomed us in as family and now the fatherless are found!

If only you could see Shannon today and the work that God has done in her. Surely you would join in this song!" (Micah Massey)

VERSE 1
For every prodigal
Every long lost soul
There’s a place where we belong
For every orphaned heart, every broken life
We are daughters, we are sons

CHORUS
Glory glory, hallelujah
The fatherless are found
The fatherless are found
We are home now
Home forever
Make a joyful sound
The fatherless are found

VERSE 2
In the father’s house
There are many rooms
There’s a place that’s been prepared
At the table of the king of love
We will join together there
Singing…

BRIDGE
Father we love you, father we love you
Your sons and your daughters will love you forever
