"'Future Glory' is hopeful, truthful, timely, and sobering. We started the song knowing that the lyric might be uncomfortable for some congregations to sing because of the inclusion of "suffering". The persecution and killing of Christians is all to familiar on world news these days, and heart breaking. In contemporary worship we tend to focus on victories, mountain tops, and a host of positive topics. But, sharing in God's glory includes sharing in his suffering.
'Future Glory' is an anthem of truth we should sing boldly and loudly for our own experience, and in memory of those amazing brothers and sisters around the world that are suffering and dying for the gospel.
I introduced the song at NorthPark, my local church, and set it up by saying: "hang on". Not only was it well received it has become an anthem. We will share in his glory as well as his suffering. Musically, the throwback style contrasts with the heavier lyric very effectively." (Stephen Petree)

If you are the author of our faith
We will be faithful till the end
In every trial on the way
You are there with us
No power of hell can separate
No hatred or hunger, fear or shame
Your love is perfect and sustains
You are here with us
We are now joined with you in all of your glory
Even if glory means suffering
And we believe that you are coming in glory
In all of your glory, to end suffering
We are now filled with heaven’s breath
The Spirit that raised Christ from the dead
Even in death there is no end
You will be with us
We know you work all things for good
For those who love and hunger for the
