Lord's Prayer

Lord's Prayer

"In the Anglican tradition we pray the Lord’s Prayer every Sunday, and in certain seasons we sing it. Writing new musical settings to these ancient prayers is one of my favorite things to do these days. This is a new setting for the Lord’s Prayer, which my kids love to sing at the dinner table, and which our church loves to sing in worship. The Celtic melody gives the prayer a more joyful feel than the somber dirge it can become through years of rote recitation. I pray this new setting gives fresh life to the Lord’s prayer for you, your family and your church." (Ryan Flanigan)

Our father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in heav'n

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who
Trespass against us

And lead us not into temptation, but
Deliver from evil

For thine is the kingdom and the power
And the glory forever
And ever
