Oh The Cross

Oh The Cross

"There's nothing more central to the story and the relationship of mankind and the Creator God himself than the cross. It's in the cross we find new life, real hope, perfect peace and our joy is complete. Jesus, our comfort, Emmanuel, God with us, made a way for us to be restored to the father through his life, death and resurrection. It's through the glory and the triumph of the cross that death was and is defeated and we can spend eternity in worship of the one true and living God. The cross is to be remembered, pondered and celebrated. For it's through the cross that we can now live in, and experience the presence of God." (Matthew Macaulay)

I  have seen a glimpse of what is to come
I have known the power of my God
Every fiery flame, that the darkness sends
Extinguished by the arms stretched out wide for me

Oh the cross raises me
Blessed hope, eternity
Bridged the gap, the great divide
Oh what love and sacrifice

I can hold this love, nothing can surpass
I can search it’s depths in my heart
Every harmful thought, stealing lies and schemes
All are sent away, I’m forever free

I will stand for truth, I will live in life
I will walk by faith, not by sight
Waiting for the day, heavens king will ride
Oh the cross that stands is the cross of Christ

Glory, we have seen your glory
Only through the cross

I can stare at death, deep into its eyes
For I look at it through grace so wide
When the dangers come, deep into the night
My victory displayed by the cross of Christ
