Until We Meet Again

Until We Meet Again

"In the late hours of December 5th, in the final days of the life of a dear friend of our community, Maggie du Plessis, the Lord gave me a song idea to honor her life, and a vision for gathering a few of us to finish it out. We all know Maggie through her son Malcolm, where we see many of her qualities and gifts continue to live on.

So, over the last couple of weeks, voice memos have gone back and forth … Brittney finished the lyrics for one verse and Matt for another, while Savannah brought a bridge idea; Isaac laid down acoustic guitar, and Todd tracked keys. It has been collaborative effort in every sense of the word.

To us it will always be 'Maggie’s Song'. However, we are hearing of others who are adopting it for a loved one that they have lost." (Mark Alan)

VERSE 1
You painted hearts with colors bright and bold
With gentle kindness in your hands
The dignity you gave to broken souls
There’s never been one quite like you

CHORUS
Now you’re dancing on those golden streets
Singing at Jesus' feet
Living in that mansion on the hill
Yes, someday I’ll be joining you
Life is short, so save me room
This is not goodbye
It’s not the end
But until we meet again

VERSE 2
You sacrificed for everyone you knew
Unafraid to live and speak the truth
You marched to the beat of heaven’s drum
Spread his love to everyone
Faithful until the end

BRIDGE
Healing waves of grace
You’re home, you’re home
Healing waves of peace
You’re home, you’re home
