Love That Will Not Let Me Go
Love That Will Not Let Me Go
"This is one of the more fragile songs I've written, and it came from a fragile state. My wife and I were in the midst of losing a pregnancy, and I found myself wanting to write a song. I normally am not too able to write during the darkest moment of a difficult situation, but somehow this song came out. It's one of my favorites." (Paul Duncan)

VERSE 1
When sorrow falls like bitter rain
When faith is small, and all seems pain
When winter’s chill would leave me cold
O love that will not let me go
VERSE 2
This fainting soul, this wandering heart
The distance grows, the light so far
Voice soft and still that calls me home
O love that will not let me go
CHORUS
O love that covers me
I hide myself in thee
Take now my hand and hold me ever close
O love that will not let me go
VERSE 3
A friend I’ve found to plead my case
My failures drowned in a sea of grace
A holy spill from heaven flows
O love that will not let me go
VERSE 4
Devotion proved in deepest loss
A savior moved to take my cross
But none could kill or block with stone
This love that will not let me go
