We’ve built this project slowly and carefully—not for scale, but for substance. With no startup capital, we invested what we had: creativity, courage, and care. The good news is that we carry no debt. The honest truth is that every step along the way has been hard won.
Until now, we’ve pursued only what we could sustain—no shortcuts, no outside support—letting the music speak for itself. What exists was shaped with integrity, not bought momentum.
The reality we face is challenging. Music rooted in justice and shared humanity is increasingly overshadowed in the marketplace, even as the need for it grows. Much of what we champion does not fit neatly within commercial or institutional systems, which is why doing this work well—without debt or compromise—requires not only resilience, but the kind of philanthropic support that makes long-term impact possible.
So we’ve taken a necessary step. We’ve reorganized under a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Common People, to steward this work as a shared commons and to make contributions tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our immediate focus in this next chapter is our forthcoming album, We the Common People—our boldest step yet beyond the Christian bubble.
If this music has mattered to you, we invite you to join us in carrying it forward. Please click Donate to support the work as we move ahead.
Those who support the work financially are added to our newsletter automatically. We send out updates sparingly and with intention—only when there’s something genuinely worth sharing: stories your generosity has made possible, early sneak previews of upcoming releases, behind-the-scenes moments, important developments, and invitations into the work as it takes shape.
