Shaken
A message given by Jonathan Martin at a Common Hymnal songwriting camp.
We are in a time of unprecedented shaking--political systems are shaking, ecclesiastical systems are shaking--in the words of Hebrews, everything that can be shaken, is being shaken. None of us are exempt from the shaking. But what are the unique purposes of this shaking for the people of God? Could it be that some of the things that threaten to crush us, may actually shake us loose? That what simply feels like an earthquake to some, may actually be a jailbreak for others?
