Strong And Able

Strong And Able

"Who knew that one cup of coffee would change your life forever?! It did. Meeting with a friend, Chuck Harris, in a hotel in London in August 2012 led to my arrival in Chattanooga, TN for three months in the Autumn of the same year. It began an adventure that would lead to a new chapter after a decade of disappointments and struggle. Early in that trip there was a moment during leading a time of worship at the Chattanooga House of Prayer when a cry came out from the deep places of my soul. In that moment many others heard the truth of the cry and joined in the song. That's how the chorus of this song was birthed and the rest of the song came two months later as I spent time allowing the truth of the words grow in me and allowed them to play a redemptive part in the healing of the broken places I'd found myself in over the last decade. I've found most people relate; it's a story full of hope." (Matthew Macaulay)

VERSE 1
The gales have swept, the droughts have parched
This land, this life, these hands, this heart
Though autumn rains have lost their way
Still I will say

CHORUS
Though I walk through the fire
I will not be burned
Though I walk through the valley
I know my cries are heard
For you are faithful, you are strong and able
You are strong and able, you are strong and able

VERSE 2
The trials have come, the doubts have robbed
This home, this mind, these feet and path
Though songs of spring have come undone
Still I will say

VERSE 3
The time has come, to dream again
To see, to know, to run and sing
This new day dawns, the sun is warm
And I can say

BRIDGE
It's my joy to worship
It's my joy to sing
It's my joy to say I'll bless your name
