Stay With Me
Stay With Me
Stay With Me was written after an impromptu discussion about the shortest verse in the Bible: ‘Jesus wept,’ describing Jesus’ response to suffering, even though he was about to do a miracle to change the circumstances. We are in a time when many are hurting, grieving and questioning whether or not God cares. Not only is Jesus concerned, but he leans in and weeps with us. Then he does what only he can do.

VERSE 1
You find me where I am and meet me there
You enter in to all my hurt and pain
You can speak one word and make my story change
You choose to help me write the words instead
CHORUS
Patiently, you always
Stay with me, you take the
Time to weep and don’t rush
You just stay with me
VERSE 2
I needed you when I was losing hope
I shattered when my thoughts disappointed you
I challenged you and you revealed yourself to me
I cried out for help and found your heart
